as a colorado wedding photographer, you can imagine that i get to bare witness to a LOT of lovely couples tying the knot…but i am not exaggerating when i say that i have never seen a bride and groom more EXCITED, or grateful to be marrying one another. their emotion was palpable, and it completely melted my heart. i can’t count the number of times i got choked up while editing their photos, as i relived the many special moments throughout their day…their love for each other just radiates! and i love that they were all about having fun together 🙂

when jarhae contacted me last year to schedule an engagement session, i was SO excited! if you don’t know this girl, she’s an adorably pint-sized sweetheart, with an incredible outlook on life, and an unspoken coolness about her. i soon discovered that her (now husband) scott, is of course an equally sweet, happy, rad, perfect match. not only was i delighted to work with this awesome couple, but also to have the pleasure of meeting both of their incredible families! it was so uplifting to witness the endless love that simply surrounded these two.
but before i get ahead of myself, let’s start at the beginning of their perfect day…
the bridal party prepared at the westin hotel in avon, which could not have been a more perfect setting. their gorgeous bouquets were prepared by eden an alternative florist.
jarhae’s BEAUTIFUL, (pint-sized) dress was a seraphina by claire pettibone.
something old, something new…jarhae’s stunning sapphire jewelry was custom made by midwinter co.
meanwhile, the boys were having some fun of their own down in the hotel lobby bar…
a little pre-game stretching.
and just like that, it was time for my favorite part…the first look!!
seriously, i can’t even…these two.
random skateboarder made his fly-by debut just in time for the bridal party portraits.
and then they were off…to be married!
the adorable napkins were provided by pear tree rentals, co-owned by jarhae’s college roommate, stacy rozansky.
wedding details orchestrated by jarhae’s lovely cousins, siena and remi crist.
(and also some killer vegetarian pulled jackfruit) prepared by allana from FOODsmith.
scott’s ring was made by a good friend, vincent allen.
the final countdown…
and just like that, time for my other favorite part…the reception!!
but of course we had to sneak away to capture the gorgeous sunset for a few more bridal portraits…
these unbelievable cakes were created by jarhae’s aunt, jacqueline crist from the pastry parlor. and the equally tempting cookie bar was prepared by kristy topal.
to add to the entertainment, scott and jarhae had the blue bus booth on site for all kinds of photo booth fun!!
time for toasts…
wouldn’t be a real party without some live music! they had two fantastic bands lined up…first up, (and most adorable), wiskey creek!
and for the grand finale…bob masters band!
it wouldn’t be a proper send off if the crowd didn’t hoist the groom into the air…
(or single-handedly pick up the bride)! 😉
and there you have it folks. an all time favorite for this colorado wedding photographer, with two of my new all time favorite people. thanks for making me a part of your perfect day scott and jarhae!!!
