december? yeah, i know it’s february. here’s the thing…this golden colorado lifestyle photographer spent the four months leading up to christmas busier than i’ve ever been. with work. with my boys. with life. and against my every impulse, i forced myself to step away for a moment, so i could attempt to be truly present. to shut down my computer, turn off my phone, and witness the joy that is a three and four year old counting down the days to christmas…

so it begins. yes it’s february now, but hopefully you can let go of that, (as i did), and for a few minutes enjoy being transported back to december, when my family had the pleasure of becoming the subjects of a golden colorado lifestyle photographer, for a month-long lifestyle session in full force!colorado winter drive in a '79 scoutearly in december we were delighted to receive an invitation to cut down our very own christmas tree at a friend’s property in the gorgeous, wintery mountains of colorado.little one sleeping on the roadgreat dane watches over her sleeping human babieslittle one wakes up from a car napuncles give the best shoulder rides through the snowpapas give the best shoulder rides through the snowwaiting on the rest of the gang to cut down a christmas treelittle boy is all ready to cut down some christmas treeslittle boy is excited about throwing snowball at his brotherlittle boy throws snowball at his brotherlittle boy blows snowflakes at cameralittle girl with furry hood lays down in the snowthere’s no place like snow!

  1. I love so much about this! As photographers we often times don’t take the time to actually capture our own lives. These photos really tell the story of your family and will be cherished forever. Nice work!
